Donating HorseRaceBase members have access to our Ratings Machine - a uniquely powerful tool with astonishing flexibility and
millions of possible uses.
Horse Racing ratings are widely used in the industry and provide an indication of the ability of each horse
competing in a race. This is done by using a user defined set of calculations and formula which are applied to several tests based on the horse's
past performance.
At HorseRaceBase we have a standard set of ratings and they can be called upon for every race in the UK and Ireland, however
in addition to this, the Ratings Machine allows you to specify your own settings and therefore create your own set(s) of
figures for calculation.
It may sound complicated but it is in fact a simple process. By navigating through and completing each stage,
you will be recording into the database your very own preferences. Once complete you can call upon these preferences whenever
you desire and apply them to any race you deem appropriate. Whats even better is there is no limit to how many sets of
ratings you can create. This means you could for example create sets of ratings for 5f Handicaps, Group 1 races,
Handicap Hurdles in Ireland or whatever/wherever you believe there may be an opportunity.
